My parents arrived in Niu Sila in 1972 from Tokelau and Samoa. They struggled. They worked. They sacrificed, knowing some of the blessings they were working towards would be felt by their children and grandchildren.

I am living those blessings today.

CLUB FIFTY FIVE is my way of carrying their legacy forward. This piece honours their journey and the peace they worked so hard to find.

It also speaks to anyone still finding their way through rough waters. When you are tired. When the sacrifices feel heavy. When you keep steering, even though the shore is nowhere in sight.
